At Edenwell Counselling, your privacy and confidentiality are taken seriously.

Confidentiality

What you share during counselling sessions will normally remain confidential. There are circumstances where confidentiality may need to be broken, including serious risk of harm, safeguarding concerns involving a child or vulnerable adult, or where disclosure is required by law. Wherever possible and appropriate, I would aim to discuss this with you first.

Personal information

When you contact Edenwell Counselling, I may collect your name, telephone number, email address and anything you choose to include within your enquiry. This will only be used for purposes connected with your enquiry and, if you become a client, the provision of counselling services. Personal information will be stored securely and will not be sold or used for marketing without your consent.

Contact security

Standard email and online contact forms cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure. The contact form is processed by Formspree so that I can receive and respond to your enquiry. You may prefer not to include highly sensitive or detailed personal information in your initial enquiry.

Professional practice

I am a member of both the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and work within their respective ethical frameworks.

Your data rights

Under UK data protection law, you have rights relating to personal information held about you, including rights to request access and, in certain circumstances, correction or deletion.
